The assistant operations manager performs various functions in support of the Operations Manager, ensuring a smooth flow of the company’s operations. Assistant operations managers are intricately involved in the day-to-day operations of the company. They make sure materials are where they need to be so that production isn’t slowed down. They will schedule workers, assign tasks to staff members, ensure warehouse and employment practices are compliant with governmental regulations and deal with problems that might arise.

- Provides support to the operations manager in the day-to-day running of the organization.

- Oversees our Human Resource Team in developing work rules and guidelines for company employees.

- Develops and Sustains work policies that ensure a safe working environment.

- Schedules projects and ensures assignments are carried out as planned.

- Works together with top management staff concerning work/operational issues and other activities.

- Draws up reports regarding operations in the company, and passes them to top management whenever it is requested for.

- Oversees our Purchasing Department and develops forecasts to determine if we have all the required materials needed.

- Will research ways to reduce costs on a regular basis.

- Oversees financial issues and the development of long-term goals that enhance company growth.

- Oversees our warehouse and all in-bound quality areas.

- Maintains and organizes the company’s facilities, including our Maintenance and Repair Department.

Requirements

- Must possess great communication skills on all fronts and must be someone that gets along well with other people. (i.e. must have great interpersonal skills)

- He/she must also portray great leadership abilities.

- Must be able to work and deliver within a limited time frame, and be flexible to the ever-changing business.

- Must be able to work flexible and long hours during our Holiday Season.

- Strong business acumen and great attention to detail.

- He/she must have good analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities.

- A degree in any management or business-related field. (Associates preferred)

- P&L Management: 1 year (Preferred)

- A minimum of 3 years in a related field of management.

- A good knowledge of finances

Departments that will be Supervised:

- Human Resources

- Staffing and Retention

- Payroll

- Purchasing

- Accounts Receivable

- Warehouse and Inventory Management

- Facility Maintenance

- Print Operations

- PPE Production

Shift

- 10 hour shift (minimum of 50 – 60 hours a week)

- Weekend availability

Proposed Salary and Benefits:

- $45,000 to $50,000 Salary (based on experience)

- Paid Time Off (1-week paid vacation per year for the first 2 years and 2 weeks paid vacation after 3 years with the company)
